NEW WORKSTwo theatre gays in biblical Jerusalem work cleaning tombs while trying to get their scrappy show into the Roman Fringe Festival. Some women arrive with the body of a recently crucified man… who looks shockingly like the director they’re trying to impress – who is alive! Cue misplaced corpses, a disastrous hookup, smoking weed with the deceased’s mother, and an accidental resurrection when the director returns for his bag. The mother of the deceased knows perfectly well that isn’t her son — but Mary Magdalene sees a religion brewing. The actors flee toward Rome carrying two corpses. They just wanted a fucking audition… but they accidentally started Christianity.

About Will
Will Porter is an actor, comedian, and writer based in NYC. He grew up in Acton, Massachusetts, primarily studying ballet at The Acton School of Ballet. He attended the Kirov Academy of Ballet & San Francisco Ballet’s summer programs before attending Interlochen Arts Camp for Musical Theatre, where he earned the Maddy Award. He holds a BA from Muhlenberg College in Theatre & Dance, and an MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri Kansas City. He has performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, three National Tours, Disney Cruise Line, and regional theaters across the country.
As a writer, his works have been seen at the New York City Fringe Festival, KC Fringe, and at the Charlotte Street Foundation. His works include "Hatching" (starring Britt Lower from Severance and Kennedy Kanagawa from Broadway's "Into The Woods"), David Copperfield (Critics Pick, KC Fringe), and Crutchie Go Fuck Yourself: The Unauthorized Sequel to Newsies, with other works in development.
As an educator, he teaches professionals, undergraduates, and high school students. He is a returning faculty member at the Pocono Mountain Music Festival Arts Camp, and teaches an on-going Shakespeare class in New York.
